EBC is providing a service to you that allows you to register to update your personal information, view your contribution history, make online contributions, view the list of available ministries and small groups, register for upcoming events and a host of other online functions. LOG IN ISSUES
What happens when my password doesn't work and won't give me access? Directly under where you would enter your username and password, there is a link - Forgot Your Password? Click on this link and an automated email with your password will be sent to you at your email address on record.
What if I forgot my username too? No worries!! We can help you with that as well. Contact us at myebc@ebc-ny.org and we will reset your password and respond to you with your username and temporary password. Once you sign in with this information, you will be asked to change your password.
How do I change my password? Once you sign into the system, rollover the My Profile option in the top menu bar so that the submenu appears. In the submenu, click on My Personal Preferences. On this page there will be a button titled, "Change Password." Click on this button to change your password.
How can I search for another church member? You cannot search for a church member and view their information and other members cannot view your information. Only if you are part of a small group or ministry will you have access to the email addresses of your fellow small group or ministry members in order to stay connected. If you want to limit the amount of information that church leadership can access on your account, you can change your preferences by rolling over My Profile and making changes to the selections on the My Personal Preferences page.
How do I email my small group or ministry members using this service? On your dashboard, the initial screen that you see when you sign in, your groups will show in the My Groups section of the page. Next to the group that you would like to send an email, select Group Email from the pull down menu and click Go. The next screen will give you the option to send the email through our service, send the email only to the parents of the group (especially useful if you are emailing parents of a youth group), or it will allow you to send the email in your default email application on your workstation such as Outlook or Lotus Notes. If you are sending attachments or require special formatting to the email, choose the third option. Complete your email and press send.
ONLINE GIVING
Can I pay my tithes online? You sure can. Paying tithes online helps the church by reducing costs for labor and paper while also providing convenience to you. Once you sign into myEBC, you can click on the Give Now button in the My Giving Summary section of your dashboard or you can rollover Giving in the top menu, then click on Give Now in the drop menu that appears. Select the fund, enter your amount and memo, if you want, then click Add. Continue to do this until you've added all of the funds and amounts, then click Give at the bottom. At this point, your payment information will be taken.
What does that Recurring checkbox mean when I'm giving online? This is an added convenience to online giving that is available as an option to you. If you know that you give the same amount on a scheduled basis, monthly, weekly, every two weeks or every three months, check this box to schedule your giving. Once you check this box, you will be able to choose when you want to start these payments and on what schedule. At any time before one of your payments is scheduled, you can make changes or cancel them. No longer will you have to worry about getting an envelope or tracking down an usher after service because you missed the offering plate. You can contribute all online!
Can I access my giving statement online? You can view your giving history anytime online by going to Giving in the top menu then clicking on My Giving History or by clicking on the My Giving History link in the My Giving Summary section of your dashboard. This will show a list of your giving that you can tailor to your needs to show your giving within the past two years. In January, you will be able to access your 2008 Giving Statement in a pdf format here, under your Giving profile.
